sports.yahoo.com (12 June) Ralf took sixth place around the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Jarno Trulli was robbed of a podium by a brake failure eight laps from home. Ralf climbed up through the field after losing ground at the start on his way to three points. He treated the whole team to an evening of karting the previous night.

Ralf: "I'm glad to be leaving here with three points under my belt. I gave my best considering everything that happened this weekend. I didn't get well off the line today and we need to check the reason for that. Unfortunately the lost places meant that I was always going to struggle in the race with the strategy we had. But I battled hard and gained a place early on. Then it was just about staying in the race and seeing what could happen. I was unlucky with the safety car when Montoya pitted, but our instructions from race control were to stay in the position I was. The good news is that Jarno was very near to getting a podium, and it shows that we can drive good races when everything goes well"

sports.yahoo.com (11 June) Jarno and Ralf both achieved ninth and tenth places respectively on the grid. Ralf: "That was a decent lap and I'm relatively happy with how it went for me... we made the best of what we could and we will now look to convert this position into points in tomorrow's race"

FIA rule could kill us says Ralf (it makes a change from saying Michael could)

Toyota preview the Canadian GP Ralf: "I always look forward to the Canadian Grand Prix. Montreal is one of my favourite places on the calendar. The city is beautiful and welcomes Formula 1 with open arms with a lively and unique atmosphere. The people are friendly and everyone gets behind the thrill and excitement of our sport. That makes our annual visit extremely enjoyable. Montreal also boasts one of the best circuits on the calendar in Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. It is a track which offers a special technical challenge with its fast straights and heavy braking, which demands a lot from the car. I have quite a good record in Canada – including a win here in 2001 and second place in 2003. Here we are yet another two years on, so logically, I look set for another good result, this time with Panasonic Toyota Racing. After the disappointment and frustration of the Nürburgring, I think we have a package that can perform well around the part street circuit in Montreal. With a fresh RVX-05 engine I am looking forward to adding to my 17 points from the season so far"

Toyota wraps up pre-Canadian GP tests (3 June) After a good start to the season, how important are the next few weeks? Ralf: "Very important because we are entering an intensive phase of the championship. We have just run back-to-back races at Monaco and Nurburgring, followed immediately by a test and now we have the flyaway races in North America, which are also back-to-back. Then, shortly after that, the French and British GPs are just a week apart at the beginning of July and so any progress we can make in testing will reap a strong reward"
EUROPE 2005

homeoff1.com Ralf on the rumour of whether there'll be a be a new Toyota: "There is no need for a new car. I would like to know where these journalists get their information from. I think I would be told"

Ralf completed 33 laps in the European GP. Sporting Life says: Lap 34 - Ralf, who had been in 14th, is finally out of the race after making a mistake and ending up in the gravel. It's the end of a miserable afternoon for Ralf, who had lost his nose cone at corner one. Yahoo says: Ralf pitted for a new front wing after a first lap collision with Alonso, rejoining in last place, and spun off on lap 33. His retirement was Toyota's first of the season.

Schumacher brothers rubbish feud claims (26 May) Ralf: "It has nothing to do with a war, a family or brotherly war, it is just a different opinion. Whether it would have been Michael or anybody else, at that moment I just had a different opinion than a competitor. I understand it is interesting for people to write about but I don't really see what the fuss is about. It is nothing to do with being emotional or anything, you have an opinion and you stick to it. Some people do think it is a bit tough or too tough, but in racing situations sometimes you see things in a different way"

Michael: "I think we are both very highly competitive race drivers, we fight on the circuit, everyone for his own interest, in a way for his team. But you never forget it is your brother, and you love your brother. We have to race each other. It is racing, maybe we might disagree on certain points of view but it's pretty natural. We are both very competitive, we have our opinions and I think we have to have our opinions. You finish the race, you may have some more emotions, but it doesn't really matter. At the end of the day, it is your brother, your blood, and everything that has been written in these silly newspapers at this moment is rubbish. To now make a detailed fuss about it with 'he has said this little word there and he has done this little thing there', let's be serious and stop the idiot business and let's continue again with the normal stuff"

Ralf backed his brother and insisted he would never intentionally put another competitor in danger just for the sake of an extra world championship point. Ralf: "At the end of the day we are all sensible. Nobody wants to hurt another driver but obviously, at the same time, you have to fight for your position, for your team and your own points. It is a decision we sometimes have to take within a couple of tenths of a second. It might not always be the right one. It is like a start incident, things like this can always happen"

Ralf snubs Schu reunion (26 May) Ralf reportedly turned down an invitation to attend an event at Michael's kart track. Father Rolf apparently urged him to come to Kerpen. Ralf: "I don't need to go there to talk about it. I don't have a problem with my brother. What I said in Monte Carlo was about what happened on the track only and will have no impact on our relationship". Rolf, meanwhile, reportedly told a German newspaper that Ralf is the sensitive brother, while Michael is more calm. "Maybe Ralf could have been a little less impulsive with his statements after Monaco. But what Michael did was a bit needless"
